BEREDARNYA film 2012 menimbulkan pro kontra seputar kiamat. Apalagi yang disajikan di film itu sama sekali berbeda dengan skenario akhir dunia versi kitab suci.

Namun, dari sudut pandang ilmu pengetahuan, kiamat memang akan terjadi. (Dalam konteks ini yang dimaksud dengan kiamat adalah musnahnya kehidupan di planet bumi).

AKHIRNYA. Inggris mencatatkan diri sebagai salah satu kontestan Piala Dunia 2010. Kemenangan telak atas Kroatia 5-1 merupakan pertanda kalau pasukan ‘ The Three Lions’ merupakan kandidat serius perhelatan FIFA World Cup yang bakal digelar di Afrika Selatan.

Inggris juara dunia 2010?

Pasti banyak yang mencibir. Namun sebagai pecinta Inggris sejati aku yakin peluang untuk itu terbuka lebar. Inggris punya penyerang kelas satu dalam diri Wayne Rooney. Inggris juga punya dua gelandang terbaik dunia, Steven Gerrard dan Frank Lampard–yang dulu sempat dinilai tak bisa bermain bersama karena karakter mereka saling membunuh. Untuk pemain belakang, Inggis punya sosok John Terry dan Rio Ferdinand, duet palang pintu terbaik dunia.


Satu-satunya kelemahan mendasar bagi Inggris adalah tidak adanya sosok penjaga gawang berkharisma. Setelah mundurnya David Seaman, Inggris tak punya sosok penjaga gawang kelas satu. Pelatih Fabio Capello pun dipaksa memutar otak untuk mencari siapa yang diyakini mampu menjaga gawang Inggris. Pada laga melawan Kroasia, Capello memainkan penjaga gawang debutan Robert Green.

Tapi lepas dari berbagai kekurangan, Inggris kini mencoba menapak sejarah baru. Setelah klub-klub Inggris mendominasi Eropa, kini saatnya timnas yang unjuk gigi.

ADA tidaknya UFO sampai sekarang masih menjadi perdebatan. Banyak yang percaya bahwa UFO merupakan wahana milik mahkluk dari planet asing, yang ‘berwisata’ ke bumi. Sebagian yang lebih ‘rasional’ meyakini kalau UFO hanya khayalan.

Sejauh ini sudah banyak catatan (dan rekaman) menyangkut kehadiran obyek terbang tak dikenal. Dan yang terbaru, dirilis Angkatan Laut Rusia (Russian Navy), berisi laporan panjang tentang aktivitas sejumlah obyek terbang tak dikenal. Dan kesimpulan sementara, benda terbang tak dikenal (UFO) ternyata menyukai lautan.

Sebagaimana dilansir russiatoday, sekitar 50 persen penampakan UFO terkait dengan lautan. Dan 15 persen lainnya terkait dengan danau. Artinya, UFO rupanya menaruh perhatian sangat besar pada lautan. (continue reading…)
